
Being aware of the situation, our client implemented a Digital Lab which using agile development teams and cross-functional project setups to work on ideas that might become future pillars of the company.
Bloom Partners was asked to implement agile development and management procedures to speed up the process, improve efficiency and ultimately enhance the success of launched products.
The Approach.
After analyzing success drivers and barriers of the Digital Lab, a variety of measures were initiated to tackle existing challenges and enable a faster road to launching MVPs.
1. Process Review and Develop Agile Approach:
We streamlined innovation and product development processes, ultimately designing an agile approach. This involved establishing an open innovation platform and implementing new consumer insight tools.
2. Implementation of Individual Agile Work Methods:
We implemented tailored templates, formats, and activities to support agile development within the lab, aiding cross-functional teams and Product Owners. We applied agile principles such as consumer testing, market analysis and test-automatization to speed up product development while maintaining quality and consumer focus.
3. Prioritization of Digital Service Innovation and Coaching:
We implemented a multi-level coaching concept to empower cross-functional team members. This included continuous coaching of Scrum Masters, Product Owner shadowing, and mentoring for the project management team to enhance process management, development speed, and strategic alignment.
